Review of Robot & Frank (2012) by Sausages M — 06 Jun 2014

This Sci-Fi dramedy has a lot of heart but is also just totally charming. Frank Langella is brilliant as the cranky old man who forms a friendship with a helper robot when its forced on him by his exasperated offspring.

I won't spoil the rest, but this film manages to give more than a few great comic moments at the same time as being pretty poignant AND fun. It could have been horribly twee or pretentious but it manages to avoid those pitfalls very skillfully.

It's daft, but it's also clever. More films like this please!
