Review of RoboCop (2014) by Jacob T — 19 Jul 2014
Everyone else is a dummyhead. This was an excellent remake. It's a completely different movie, for a completely different America. It's no longer the 80s, so remaking the same movie wouldn't mean anything; CGI has "rendered" (heh heh heh) practical effects nigh exitinct, and we can't be shocked.
This is just an awesome action movie, with a tiny dose of "Fox News is bad for you". Enjoy the ride, and judge it by itself, not by contrast with another movie that nothing can compare to because it was one of the finest movies ever made ever.
