While the original robocop broke barriers in the 1980's presenting an interesting dystopian future bordering on black comedy, meanwhile a breakout performance by Peter Weller vested us the the humanity of a cop named murphy who had most of what physically made him human replaced by machine.

This re-boot while giving us 2014 level visual effects neither presents a future we hate enough nor a Murphy we love enough to draw us into the film.
