Review of RoboCop (2014) by Dan A — 10 Aug 2014
There might be numerous big themes and comments upon American foreign policy at play in this film but sadly it lacks heart and conviction and is a poor update of the '87 original. Lacking both its bite, cynicism and shocking but effective use of violence.
This film grossly wastes Keaton, Jackson and Oldman whilst Kinnaman is badly served and given very little to do in the title role. Stick to Verhoeven's original and pray there isn't a sequel because it'll probably be worse than Robocop 3.
