Review of RoboCop (2014) by Jim P — 18 Sep 2014
At least as good as the original, I think he added some interesting themes and boasted some solid acting. The satiric overtones were, sadly, spot on in so many ways (Sam Jackson's character was perfect) and was as relevant today as the original was when it came out.
I think a lot of people forgot how badly reviewed the original was when it was released and how so many people missed the satire. It's only been in hindsight that people call it anything close to classic, and I think this version will find the same sort of uptick in appreciation as time goes on.
