Review of RoboCop (1987) by Naoya K — 03 Nov 2011
Can the mix of robotic components and former living humans create a robot that feels? Well, Robocop has the answer for you. Robocop is an entertaining film set in the future where crime is taking over Detroit City.
Before the city can be razed for Delta City, a large corporate company creates a robotic cop that is half human after a cop is killed in the line of duty. His name is Robocop and he goes out to serve the public which leads the destruction of criminals until things start to get haywire.
The film is plagued with very cheesy acting even though Kurtwood Smith is great and there are a lot of cheesy special effects. Despite this, I actually enjoyed Robocop for what it is along with satire in the film.
The film spawns two sequels.
