Review of RoboCop (1987) by Jon A — 13 Apr 2012
This holds up really well. The sets and costumes aren't too 80's and a lot of the gore and violence is still shocking. Not to mention the biting satire and social commentary through out the film, which is just as relevant today as it was then. Plus Robocop is just sort of cool. The design, and mannerisms, everything about it. I especially enjoyed when he throws the bad guy through 3 separate sheets of glass as he reads him his Miranda rights.
The ED-209 stuff is def. dated, although I think the crude stop animation adds to the creepiness of it.
