Review of RoboCop (1987) by Mark N — 11 May 2012
Vicious and blood thirsty but with biting social commentary it can only be Verhoeven. Brilliantly plotted with memorable characters, scenes and visuals throughout, it is a classic of 80's action sci-fi cinema.
Murphy's hand removal scene sticks in my mind decades later as does the threatening ED-209's demands for compliance. A must see for any horror/action/sci-fi fan.
