Review of RoboCop (1987) by Just R — 03 Jul 2014
A classic in a weird way. The 80s vision of a futuristic Detroit makes this a bizarro period piece. It's strikingly violent in an almost cartoonish way that stands in stark contrast to the oversized double-breasted suits and giant computer screens that have 1/1000000th of the processing power as the iPhone has that I'm using to type this review.
But in spite of it all, there's a weird bit of the human element here. It pales in comparison to the true master of the human element of the sci-fi genre, T2, but it is still worth watching.
