Review of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) by Bill T — 01 Jul 2009

While this is definitely fine entertainment, it really takes liberty with the Robin Hood story for it's own devices. The back story of Robin Hood and Marian, the way the Merrie Men meet, and most especially, the addition of Azeem, the Muslim best friend, played by um, Morgan Freeman.

If you can get oast that (and you could if you havent paid attention) then this is quite advernturous, featuring many different ways to use bows (shoot multiples! Set them on fire!) and one absiolutely deliciously vile villian played by Alan Rickman.
