Review of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) by Patrick M — 11 Jan 2010
I've always enjoyed this movie. I just think it had a great cast and it did the story justice for once. I think Kevin Costner was a perfect choice for Robin Hood and Morgan Freeman played a perfect supporting role.
The music, the battles, the drama was well played out. Even Sean Connery in a practically cameo role did well. Some of the camera shots or cinematography was amazing during that time, such as the camera that was on the arrow as it was shot.
I understand they are making a new Robin Hood movie with Russel Crowe, and I like Crowe as an actor but I'd love to see how he compares or the movie does with this one. This just had it all it seemed at the time.
I think my favorite part is near the end where he takes the two arrows and rips the feathers off one of them and shoots two guys at the same time, that is so awesome. A great movie, fun for everyone teen and up.
