Review of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) by Paul D — 05 Aug 2016
Overblown take on the Robin Hood legend, with a bland Kevin Costner miscast in the title role. It's not particularly well directed and the frequent action scenes are repetitive and stagey. As the evil Sheriff of Nottingham, Alan Rickman seems to have wondered in from a local pantomime.
One for the kids, but little to interest a more discerning adult.
