Robin Hood: Men in Tights is a satire of the movie "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves", a movie that came out a few years before it. Since this movie is hilarious, and Prince of Thieves is a serious movie, they are very different.
However, Men in Tights is more enjoyable, and might even be a better movie than the one it's mocking.
