Review of Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993) by Vincent S — 04 Feb 2011
This is a send-up of the contemporaneous "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" (and to a lesser extent, the old Errol Flynn Robin Hood), and probably wouldn't be very funny if you haven't seen the Kevin Costner film.
Mel Brooks's films really only have one joke, which is to remind you that you're watching a movie by inserting pop-culture references and anachronisms, and being self-referential. Skip this film.
Re-watch "Young Frankenstein.".
