Review of Robin Hood (2018) by Sinead K — 25 Nov 2018

I have to say this is probably one of the worst movies I've seen this year. I don't know where to start when it comes to its failings. I liked the way that the movie decided to put more modern but ultimately trashy aesthetics above historical accuracy.

Maybe that could be forgiven if a good movie had been produced but alas rather than give us a more gritty and darker Robin Hood, we get a flat, predictable, badly scripted film with its only redeemable feature being that it was so bad it actually made you laugh at points.

The acting was also pretty dodgy and even the more redeemable performance from Ben Mendolsohn was constrained by the script. Fingers crossed that they don't make a sequel.
