About 1 & 1/2 hours into the movie Russell Crowe utters the line; "None shall pass unless they can answer the riddle,." This caused me to laugh thinking, for a moment, that I was watching a Monty Python movie.
Unfortunately I was not. It's not that this is a bad movie. Its that is is nowhere near as compelling as Ridley Scott's underrated director's cut of The Kingdom of Heaven, nor is it nearly as exciting as his over rated film Gladiator.
At 2 hours & 28 minutes the movie felt like it was actually 4 hours long.
