Review of Robin Hood (2010) by Beth C — 12 Jan 2013
Tales of Robin Hood are typically exciting and romantic with a sprinkling of wit and a measure of medieval reality dependent on the writer's inclinations. This is heavy on a version of the latter (if you believe Robin was the prime mover behind the Magna Carta, good luck to you) and much lighter on the wit.
Even the romance is a plot construct. Certainly an interesting effort but nowhere near Scott's best work.
