The previous idea for this film was the Sheriff of Nottingham living a double life as outlaw, Robin Hood. It was going to be a period piece with a Nottingham Batman. Wouldnt that be cool? What we have here, is a dreary, empty piece with some good performances but overall is a waste of time.
Why? Because Robin Hood isn't declared an outlaw until the last few minutes.
