Review of Robin Hood (2010) by Karen H — 02 Jan 2015
Considering that a) It is directed by Ridley Scott, the man who made Gladiator and b) Stars Russell Crowe, the lead actor of Gladiator, this latest adaptation of Robin Hood feels slightly underwhelming, and definitely not the movie we were expecting.
Not enough spectacles and too much melodrama, it gets silly at times and the runtime is too long. But I have to admit that there are parts of it that I think is very well-done. Russell Crowe is fine as Robin Hood and Cate Blanchett is always solid.
It's not an outstanding film, but not terrible either.
