Review of Robin Hood (2010) by Linda C — 06 Jan 2012
I generally don't compare movies. However, take Gladiator. Cut everything in half. Censor the action scenes. In fact, imagine seeing this movie without Robin Hood until the last half hour. This movie should have been titled "Robin Hood Begins" because you don't see the hero you want for basically the whole movie.
The movie has far to much dialogue and its action scenes are clearly censored. It seems like Russell Crowe isn't even the star of the film. I was bored. Ridley Scott clearly had a different idea of the film because he made a terrible, mixed up version of a Gladiator, Braveheart, generic film.
It was a good idea but really wasn't the movie we deserved until the last half hour. Not worth watching.
