Review of Robin Hood (2010) by President P — 12 May 2013
A prequel on Robin Hood, should be good right? Well no, it was actually very bad. Scott and Crowe join forces again in an attempt to recreate the magic of Gladiator, a nice attempt but it falls very flat.
The film captured my interest at the start, but quickly lost it. The story falls apart very fast and takes a back seat to action scenes, which really don't fit into the Robin Hood story at all. In the acting and directing department it starts out alright, but quickly turns into a mess of no one clearly caring.
The writing is the same but at times can be acceptable. The 2010 Robin Hood is a failed attempt at creating a prequel to a story that in all honesty didn't require one. Lets hope there is no sequel for this.
