Review of Robin Hood (2010) by Yaseen K — 08 Oct 2011
The Ridley Scott/Russell Crowe axis works well as always, but did we really need another swahbuckling movie about the green tighted protector of the poor? There was no point in trying to surpass the brilliance of Robin Hood: Men in Tights, I mean Prince of Thieves.
Alas Prince of Thieves had Costner in it, but once Rickman had gotten hold of the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham, nobody else could play it. An OK film, but Hollywood ought to have looked for more original storylines.
