Review of Robin Hood (2009) by Louise E — 25 Mar 2010
This is a solid retelling of the story of Robin Hood. You get what you expect from this film and the great cast in it. The movie has action, adventure, comedy and romance. The story is well done and well shot.
Some great scenes through out the film. Alan Rickman stole the show with his Sheriff of Nottingham performance. He always knows how to play a great villain. The only bad thing was the performance of Kevin Costner in the role of Robin Hood.
He was a good choice as the lead but with his American accent through out the film you could not believe he was Robin Hood. He could have at least tried to fake the accent. Heck even Christian Slater had a accent for his role.
But if you can get past that part of the movie then you will get a solid action adventure film that entertains.
