If they had cast someone other than Kevin Costner...in fact anyone other than Kevin Costner (except perhaps Nicholas Cage) in the role of Robin Hood, this would have been just about perfect. I love Alan Rickman in this role.
Some people might say I only watch this to watch Alan Rickman but they would be wrong. I also like those very cool flying arrows and the memorable dialogue..."Why a spoon Cousin?" "Because it's dull you twit! It'll hurt more!".
