Too long, cheesy as hell, completely ridiculous, very anachronistic, and quite awesome. So silly but handsomely mounted and full of the rousing stunts that belong in Robin Hood. Someone should've snipped the witch stuff out in the editing room, and perhaps the strange Slater subplot.

Kind of a bummer too that Little John is marginalised for Azeem to take the sidekick role, but Freeman really adds a lot to the movie, as does the awesome Alan Rickman - having (and providing) so much fun.

These two compensate greatly for Kevbo's stiff earnestness when he speaks - but the guy does look pretty heroic with a bow and arrow. Dumb but fun movie. Nowhere near as good as the Disney version, or the Flynn classic - but so much better in structure and tone than the recent ponderous, dour, too-worthy Scott-Crowe history-lesson version.
