Review of Robin and Marian (1976) by Keenan S — 18 Mar 2013
Robin And Marian is a criminally underrated romance film. I've heard people complain that this film is boring because it is more story and dialogue-driven, rather than being action-packed like the usual Robin Hood film adapation.
I couldn't disagree more, because I never found it to be boring because I think it's a perfect film. It's more of a romance film rather than an adventure, which worked just fine for me because of the superb acting, especially the leads who display wonderful chemistry.
The film is exciting, funny, and heartbreaking, and I highly recommend it. Why so many people seem to hate it, I'll never understand why. I think Robin And Marian deserves to be acknowledged as a classic.
