Review of Road to Sangam (2010) by Swati S — 30 Jan 2011
With Republic Day having just passed and every Indian enjoyed the customary "holiday," this is especially a piece to remind what true nationally means - something that India seems to have forgotten after August 15, 1947. An absolutely incredible work of art that should not be missed!
This movie is an ideal portrayal of sectarianism that seems to divide this nation along invisible lines - the lines of sham philosophies and treacherous coteries. Each actor has done more than justice to his presence, yet Paresh Rawal ruled the screen. For all admirers of genuine art, it is a strong recommendation and for other, it may make its small contribution in awakening their "dead" souls.
