Pleasingly unfamiliar, wonderfully directed, and highly resonant. The top-billed cast deliver exuberant performances, and the strong, magnificent cinematography creates an enduring ambience throughout the entire movie.
Road To Perdition differs greatly from typical gangster movies, which may not live up to the expectations of some viewers. However, the engaging characters, scenic 1930's Chicago setting, sharp cinematography and powerful soundtrack create a beautiful film with unavoidable poignancy.
