With a cast headed by Tom Hanks, Paul Newman and Jude Law that is believable and strong, and fine directing by Sam Mendes (his second film after American Beauty), Road to Perdition is very violent, powerful, has little bits of heart between the father and son, and a very beautiful scope that feels like the 1920's.
