Its a very a dark film for sure. The cast is great, but so many in it are such vile characters. Law and Craig are just asking to be killed the entire time and even Hanks isn't the good guy we know and love.
The camera work and tension are just right and the story never strays from the dark tone it sets up from. You may or may not get emotional in the end, as like I said, it's a film about mobsters, so it can be hard to feel for them.
I simply loved Newman in this too...maybe his last great role?
