Review of Road to Perdition (2002) by Alex H — 16 Apr 2014
Road to Perdition is a beautiful, very well made mob film that depicts the close bond between fathers and sons. The cast is full of flawless performances, especially Tom Hanks, Daniel Craig, Tyler Hoechlin and Paul Newman, just to single out a few.
Road to Perdition is the best Crime Drama Thriller I have ever seen, it is just superb. The film builds tension throughout leaving the viewer posted on the edge of their seat. The narrative is very impressive so praise must got to writers Max Collins and Richard Piers.
Thomas Newmans fantastic musical score adds so much to the tension in this film, it sends shivers down you're spine. Director Sam Mendes has brought Max Collins' graphic novels to life and what a terrific job he did.
Road to Perdition is a powerful classic that is a must-see and will be for a very long time.
