Review of Road to Perdition (2002) by Adam R — 04 Aug 2014
A poignant, Greek tragedy of a movie about family, loyalty, and destiny, and undergirded by a fantastic score. The characters unable to shake off their fates steam towards each other like locomotives barreling down shared tracks.
The result is a catastrophic yet predictable human wreck that leaves everyone dead and, the surviving ones wondering why things couldn't have been different. Oh if only we could change.
