Review of Road to Perdition (2002) by Michelle J — 22 May 2010
Road to Perdition gives a creative angle to the gangster genre. Its a compelling drama and mainly explores 2 father-son relationships even though one of them clearly overshawdows the other. The beautiful cinematography, excellent performances from Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jude Law, and the guy who plays the role of the son of Tom Hanks.
The score is beautiful. However, this movie lacks the push of the most poewrful drama films for some reason. The themes that underly should have created a greater impact. Neverthless, this movie is beautiful.
