Review of Road to Nowhere (2010) by Michael L — 20 Jun 2011
When Kevin Thomas in the LA Times called ROAD TO NOWHERE "a shimmering neo-noir...flawless," I thought he must be describing the movie I've dreamed of! It's definitely not the kind of movie that lightweights or poseurs can get behind because it respects the audience and assumes there's an intelligence there to be drawn into the web.
I'm sure, for instance, that some idiot metal head who wanders in because there's a gorgeous girl on the poster would never get it. But that's the beauty of filmmakers serving up a movie that's not for everyone, but for those who are willing to pay attention and take a very complex, dark ride.
