Review of Road House (1989) by Ransom K — 27 Jan 2013
This is up there with the guiltiest of guilty pleasures. The plot is wafer thin, the script is dreadful, the acting is very poor, but Patrick Swayze is awesome. He is arguably the coolest actor ever and he is cooler than ever in Road House.
Without him this film is awful. The action and fight scenes are enjoyable. Kelly Lynch and Sam Elliott are good in supporting roles, but this film belongs to Patrick Swayze. It's daft, but incredibly cool.
I can watch this film again and again, great 80's fun.
