Review of Road Hard (2015) by Tommy H — 14 Apr 2015

It's a shitty movie and that is hard for me to say because I am a big fan of Adam's work. Its still better than a lot of big budget Hollywood movies tho and I think he is very talented and quick witted but he should not make any more movies. For all his comedic talent and wit he is just not that good an actor/director and I feel like no one around him is willing to tell him that. I'm sure they just don't want to hurt his feelings as I think Adam holds a grudge like most people.

He has his moments here and there but when he is in almost every scene that just isn't enough carry the whole movie. The blowjob part was funny and Larry's wigs were funny and the Koechner part was funny but that is about it. As a fan of the show all the other jokes I have heard many times before which completely took me out of the movie because I knew what punchline was coming.

But putting that aside the story was overly sentimental and corny, it just didn't work well. Maybe twenty or thirty years ago this would be a good movie but I don't think it holds up in today's day and age. Maybe they should have spent longer on the script. All the people saying the movie is great I think are just die hard fans who are unable to be objective or people who don't want to hurt his feelings. Me I think Adam is a big boy and can handle being told that he is not good at everything he does.
