Review of Road Hard (2015) by Anthony P — 06 Mar 2015
Being objective as I can, this was a hallmark movie re-make of Adam's career path and experiences from his life... With a predictable story arch thrown in that the audience won't invest in, which is ironic because this movie was completely crowd funded. It will serve as a cute and sentimental home movie for his family. The production value was low, in particular the crappy 'public domain' quality transition music played inbetween scenes, and a sophmoric formulaic script. For a VOD release movie this is 'par for the course'. It suprised me that I was this let down by the movie. I caught myself wondering if Adam's friends felt the same. And if they had the courage to tell him to his face. If I was a betting man, I don't think this will rank in the top 15 comedies/romcoms this year.
In the spirit of my favorite film critics Eric and Gregg... I give Road Hard two bags of Popcorn, and maybe a neck pillow for comfort.
