Review of RKO 281 (1999) by Andy K — 07 Aug 2008
I wanted to like this film more than I did. The cast minus Melanie Griffith was superb. (I've never liked Griffith in ANYTHING) However, the story seemed to only skim the surface of Wells and the fight over Citizen Kane itself.
I felt cheated and wanted more substance on what was a facinating subject. I hope someone does do the ultimate Bio movie on Orson Wells. It would put Scorsese's The Aviator to shame if done right.
