Review of River's Edge (1986) by Vig S — 12 Apr 2008
This is such a powerful, understated film. It's a bit of an odd one, with offbeat humour interspersed with a morbid subject and dark conclusion. Everyone involved give great performances (yes, even Keanu Reeves, which was a surprise) and Dennis Hopper's girlfriend is marvellous.
As is his character's name. Also, I'm surprised that Crispin Glover hasn't made more of a name for himself; he's so much more than Marty McFly's dad.
