Review of River's Edge (1986) by Sven O — 16 Jun 2009
It's not perfect, but it's a decent movie proving that Keanu's acting hasn't changed since 1986, and he still isn't overly convincing. Crispin Glover is over top the fucking wall as the head leader trying to help his buddy cover the girl he killed.
Works well enough as a story of youth dealing with death of a friend and the metal soundtrack really fits the atmosphere, almost as if this was the dramatic telling of Paradise Lost (with a different story of course).
It also isn't too dated.
