Review of Rittenhouse Square (2005) by Helena — 26 Apr 2006
This movie is downright creepy. The perspective of an elderly, pompous, out-of-towner is not that interesting, his choice of interview questions, all pretty much relating to girl watching in the park, are trivial.
His interview subjects, local celebrities, don't seem interesting enough to hold the general public's attention, and for us Philadelphian's, they don't show us anything about the people but their surface gloss, which we're already sick of.
The girl watching angle is silly. And the only beautiful women in the park are under 30? I beg to differ there. A silly movie, a missed opportunity, a must NOT see (except for the musical performances).
