Review of Risky Business (1983) by Barry P — 17 Oct 2009
This is another film for me that I love more for the style than anything else. For me, it's also Tom Cruise's most likable role: a somewhat dorky teenager whose only shot at getting a girlfriend is in finding a hooker.
..uh-huh. The Tangerine Dream score makes it. Did I mention I'm also a total sucker for '80s films? This one's got intelligence, though. And, I get it, it's a satire. Though its ridiculous level is, at times, annoyingly high.
The sex-on-a-train scene for me is really tacky...thought I'd just mention that.
