Another 80's teenage drama -- what set this apart from its contemporaries, though, was its lack of Molly Ringwald. Nevertheless, Tom Cruise managed to play a somewhat prudish teenager rather well. The rest of the cast (for the most part), however, was not as believable.
This film's story basically centered around Tom Cruise's character and that character's unfortunate tie to a crystal egg. Everything else was happenstance. It was interesting overall, but a bit flawed with his mother's reaction near the end.
