Featuring one of Tom Cruise's most iconic movie moments, and arguably his best early performance, Risky Business has more than earned its spot in the star's back catalogue. Sadly however, its frustratingly simple-minded plot combined with the baffling amount of praise heaped on it by critics detract from the viewer's enjoyment to a surprising extent.
It's superficially enjoyable, but its message falls mostly flat and there's no denying it's vastly overrated.
