Review of Risky Business (1983) by Jean L — 05 Apr 2012

An innovative, hilarious and just pure fun 80's film and notably the one that launched Tom Cruise into super stardom. This is what teen comedy's are supposed to be like. Cruise is great in his performance he plays the rebellious aspect of the teenager perfectly, wanting to have fun and do whatever.

It is only when he runs his dad's porsche into the lake when he decides to finally take his idea and make it a profit. No doubt one of his greatest performances. The tone, music and style was great you can truly tell you are viewing an 80's film.

Its supporting cast was also perfect for their parts notably the inclusion of Joe Pantoliano as Guido. A solid and pure enjoyable film.
