Review of Risky Business (1983) by Dann M — 18 Apr 2013
Tom Cruise brings to life a character that nearly all angry and/or confused teenage boys can relate to, and his journey is one that likely resembles even in some form their dreams and desires. The film is totally unpredictable and can bring interesting conflict and story almost instantly to keep the film going.
Many teen movies have tried to capture some of the essence of what Risky Business creates, but nothing ever seems to match it. With an early hit like this, it's no wonder Cruise ended up becoming as famous as he did.
