Review of Risen (2016) by Terry C — 02 Jul 2016
I was finally able to watch this interesting take to the already well-known story of the crufiction and resurrection of Jesus Christ, told from the perspective of a skeptical Romans soldier, like a detective story on a manhunt for the supposed body of a resurrected Christ.
The strength of the story really lies on Joseph Fiennes, and he plays his character with a great weariness towards the entire resurrection event. Following his character, even I as a viewer had to imagine how I had to approach my belief of the risen Saviour.
