Review of Risen (2016) by Jake M — 29 Jul 2016
It's rare to find original Christian inspired movies nowadays and this film is one of them. Risen takes place during the death and resurrection of Jesus, which is a story we've seen depicted on screen way too many times.
But this film shows it from the perspective of a skeptical Roman soldier and that's something we haven't seen before. Risen has good acting, a solid script, and a few good action scenes, but the soldier actually seeing Jesus near the end could have been overlooked.
You don't need to SEE to believe!
