A fully biblical film - true to the New Testament narrative. At the same time, not at all tedious or cliché - what some might expect from a biblical film. High on realism, with well developed characters and impressive cinematography.
Taking the Roman perspective initially with Pilate and his military prefect prominently highlighted was an interesting twist.
