Review of Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) by Michael H — 03 Jan 2015

At a first glance I never expected a good movie, I felt the Planet of the apes genre was completely way past its sell by date, but this movie may have changed my mind and its set out to be very compelling for the franchise, its sequel will be very intrudging.

the visual effects were magnificent, the story was nicely told especcially as it was all action packed set in San Fransisco, and we all know its conclusion was bound to be on the bridge. But works well.

Its a new take and a new direction for the ape'd themed franchise, Brilliant motion capture performances by Andy Serkis.
